We do a disservice to GOD and ourselves every time we “dummy” down to meet the needs of those surrounding us. Someones’ life is waiting for the REAL you to stand up! When asked in a meeting, “who I thought the gifts that GOD gives us were for?” My response was for the Creator as well as the creation. When you are truly operating in your call there is liberation. You break out of the “IRobot” mentality that says I must look, sound, and ultimately BE like everyone else. You understand you were created uniquely and everything about you, even the scars in your story, make you who you are and confirms your very being…If you wait for the approval of man and affirming of the crowd, you’ll miss it. This is a GOD thing. Only HE knows who you are and as you discover more about HIM, HE reveals more to you, about you.Example: (Matthew 16:15-18 ) “But what about you?” he (JESUS) asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church,and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. JESUS asked, Simon responded, and because he recognized who JESUS was he certified to now understand himself better in GOD revealing who he was.Seek GOD, not people. Have you ever felt, alone? I mean the feelings of complete stillness in a room filled with silence. Some call it solace while others simply detest the very being of, alone. The loneliness that its’partner and the curiosity who is at best, his close cousin. You see alone never comes on his own. He invites guests like worry, fear, anxiety, and low self-esteem. If you, the person, embrace his presence continually you’ll eventually forget and lose desire for the company of someone else. You’ll get used to being with alone so much so that you’ll take on his name. Now you say I’m “alone”. You declare this so often that you believe that it’s true but ma’am dear sir, alone you are not. I’ve been there. I made such good friends with alone that I not only took on his name “alone” but also gave myself a nickname “lonely”. Being lonely is worse than being alone because at least if you feel alone there’s still an opportunity to accept and invitation every now and again to escape “alone”. However, once you become lonely you leave the very existence of others to be with you, yourself, and nobody else. I made a decision many years ago not only to escape “alone” but to also drop “lonely”. I left them right where I found them and accepting a relationship with the highest source of love, grace, and adoration alive. HIS name is JESUS. And though HE cannot be seen, HE is with me every day. HE’s the reason I smile and I laugh. HE has introduced me to so many people that love HIM to that I’m often reminded that HE never intended for me to be “alone” or to consider myself “lonely”. We are loved and we are accepted.
