Don’t Hurt Your Help!

Numbers 22:21-35

Last year while on a corporate fast, the LORD led me to the Biblical encounter between Baaliim and his donkey. The message HE gave me to share with the people of GOD was: “Don’t hurt your help.”

GOD always sends warning before destruction but we as people sometimes can be so driven by what we would prefer to do that we fail to heed the warnings of GOD. Baaliim was in error. He had been previously instructed that he could not curse whom GOD had blessed. Yet, because they paid him, he persisted and GOD told him to go. GOD is not a forceful GOD. HE gives us options yet, HE also tells us with these options what consequences may follow. Baaliim chose to be more impressive to people opposed to heeding the warnings of GOD. This nearly led him to his own destruction.

Baaliim had a faithful donkey that could see GOD in the way. There was an angel of the LORD preparing to slay him for his disobedience. She turned out of the way three times to save his life and yet he persisted. He became so angry with her that he struck her, three times. Finally, GOD opened her mouth and she spoke.

Immediately, he was repented of his actions. Not to the donkey but to the LORD. GOD had to tell him if it were not for her he would have been slain and she would have been saved. Baaliim didn’t realize that he had become a prophet for profit. He was wiling to disobey the WORD of the LORD to his own detriment. WORD of HOPE: Obedience to GOD can be a matter of death and life. Times are trying and increasingly growing evil. We cannot afford to be out of order. Heed HIS warnings and continue the work that HE has called you to do. There are people that GOD has destined to help you, protect them, pray over them, and cover them. Don’t hurt your help!

Mommy, Grace.

”The rent’s due Scott, I don’t have time to waste.” she said.

”I don’t know why everything’s always a race with you Grace,” Scott said “ we’re switching from paper checks to electronic next week. I’m just waiting on the guy to come in and setup our servers.”
“I understand Scott. Trust me I get it, but Dana’s after school program ends early on Fridays and if I don’t have the rent check in the box before seven o’clock they’re going to charge me a late fee.” Grace responded.

”I see. There he is now. My man Dave! What’s up Man! Thanks for coming by and dropping off the office checks.” Scott said excitedly.

”Oh no problem big guy. Anything for Grace.” they both laughed.

(Snatch) Grace hurriedly took her check and headed for the door.

”Have a goodnight Scott. See you later Dan. I’m out!” She shouted while bursting through the doors keys in hand.

She ran down the stairs and rushed to the car slightly checking her phone to see the time.

“Oh my Gosh it’s 5:43p.m. There’s no way I’m going to make it uptown and to the office on-time. GOD please help me.” She sighed frustrated while driving down the road.
The sun was setting with a slight summer breeze that flowed through her cracked window. She decided to flip through the stations and turn on some Jazz.

Jazz reminded her of her childhood and kept her at ease. She chuckled as she reflected on the fact that she still had a modern style car and radio.

Approaching the stoplight she thought, “All of my friends have Teslas and smart radios and here I am driving a Honda Accord. After a while they gon’ start calling me ‘Grandma Grace.’

(Ring, Ring) (It was her mother)

”Grace, Grace. Where are you? Dana’s school just called me.” Grace’s mother Mabel asked frantically

“I know ma,” she said “They are calling me too, but what can I do? The checks were late again and the after school program ends early on Fridays. I’m overwhelmed Ma. I’m trying.”

”Well, where are you now? Your father and I can go pick her up.” she responded

”I just merged on to the highway. I’m like 30 minutes away. It’s ok mom. I didn’t want you and Dad to have to leave the house.” Grace stated.

”it’s alright. We were heading to the restaurant anyway. We will pick up Dana and you can come get her from our house.” She said

”Thank you mom. That way I can cash this check and pay the rent on time. You are a life saver.” Grace responded

”Anytime baby. You know Grace, you’re doing a great job. Your father and I are so proud of you. We know Henry passing took a lot out of you but you handle it with so much Grace. We know why the LORD JESUS had us to bestow upon you that name. I want you to remember something. We are here with you. You are never alone. And one thing I did when you and your brother were a lot younger was give myself grace gifts and grace time. I named it “Mommy, Grace” You should try it yourself. Don’t be so hard on yourself all the time. Give yourself, Mommy Grace. We love you.”

” Thank you mommy. I love y’all too. I will do just that” (To Be Cont’d)

The Year of Discovery…

”In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”- Genesis 1:1

I have always enjoyed peace… As I’ve grown, it has increased. Just on yesterday I reflected on GOD’s phenomenal ability to Create. Creations so vast and great in detail that they’re discovering different mechanisms and eco-systems, created and founded by GOD. 2026 has not been a year of rush but it is a year of pace. Discovering more about JESUS who in turn is revealing more about me and how HE desires me to be. I pondered on the activity of one of HIS first creations, the planet earth. I listened and watched its steadfastness and calm. Even this morning, calm… But yet, obedient. The sun was up, the sky was bright with outside light. The trees were doing their duty in stillness. I listened to the sound of water swishing under tires as they were driving down the street. I am reminded that life has a beat. The most important thing is Discovery. The discovery more about the things of GOD, that also reveal more about the things of you. This is seen in the life of Simon Peter. JESUS asked HIS disciples, who do men say that I am? The disciples began to name off, some say that thou art Elias, Jeremias or one of the prophets. They were wrong. Even JESUS knew that people have the propensity to be wrong… (Loud and wrong lol that’s my Shaniqua edit. Ha!) But, then there was Simon Peter, who spoke clearly and correctly. He responded by saying, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living GOD.” Imagine the relief of the Lord of LORDS and King of KINGS to finally be seen. JESUS quickly confirmed that flesh and blood had not revealed this unto him but our Father which art in HEAVEN. (Matthew 16:13-19) Simon Peter’s correct response and revelation earned him elevation and his identity was unlocked. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. These were the words spoken to Peter immediately following his revealed understanding about GOD. So yes, I’m leaning into a Peter-like posture. A quest to discover more about JESUS and likewise stillness to hear and discover what the LORD has spoken concerning me. 2026 is a year of discovery. Why not seek GOD, the Creator of everything? Peace ✌️ (Piece)

Post Office Runs

Saturday morning Post office runs with my grandma were just exciting as a field trip experience growing up. She worked Monday through Friday. Once we moved out of the state of her place of employment travel took much of her time. We received mail to our home but she also received mail at the post office. I remember standing in line to get to the front and hearing my grandmother request stamps and tell the representative where she wanted certain items to be shipped. I was a child. I observed it as a child. I was watching and I didn’t realize that I was also learning. She hadn’t instructed me that one day you’ll have to do this. Or, that one day you’ll be doing this alone. And long behold, now I do. I travel to my local post office to ship and sometimes gather items that have been shipped. I watched as a child. I learned as a child what I now do as an adult. The same applies to work, bills, cooking, and household chores. I cherish the moments she did those things for me and it was not my responsibility. Now that it is, I not only do, I teach. The post office for me is a reminder of one of my first training grounds. The lesson: “Handling business” lol. I’m grateful for my teacher, Grandma Dorothy Dell McGill, and a job well done. The same is true of my Grandfather Clyde. He was a Pastor of his own church in Chicago. I visited him and his wife’s home and attended every service. I didn’t know at an appointed time I would preach and teach. It wasn’t even on my memo. JESUS knew. (Jeremiah 1:5) I was in training. What are some things you learned in your youth that you now teach and do? Are you shocked that it’s you? Take a moment to reflect and thank GOD for how far HE’s brought you. And if by chance there’s someone you can teach some or all of what you’ve learned, make the decision to pass it on. Praying for you in your day and New Year that they be filled with hope, joy, and opportunities to learn. Here’s to New Beginnings and Post Office Runs. 🫶🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾 Copyright ©️: Shaniqua S. The Simplicity of Life…✍🏾💕🙏🏾

A blog about studying to be quiet…🙏🏾🌸🙌🏾

Studying to be quiet is a skill… Yet, GOD gives great deal of reason for us to hold our peace. HE goes as far as to say that those that share all of their heart are unwise. So, what does this mean? Does GOD want me to withhold my words and/or intelligent opinions? The answer is yes. Sometimes HE does. Some-times… James 1:19 states that we should be “swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.” I believe there’s a reason the author wrote those words in that particular order. Have you ever heard negative news and before you even processed it in prayer, abruptly shared the first thing that came to your mind? How did you feel? Did you shrink from embarrassment? Or stand tall in pride? Many do the latter only to later discover there was more to the story and important details they had not yet heard… This is what happens when we are quick to speak and slow to hear and pray. We process wrongly. The reason that prayer is essential before we share anything is because in prayer GOD filtrates our thought process with HIS perception regarding the matter. HE gives us Heavenly insight and understanding regarding the problem at hand. In addition to this HE gives us peace. That’s right. GOD will give you peace before you speak. Proverbs 31 declares the virtuous woman opens her mouth with wisdom and in her tongue is the law of kindness. When we study to be quiet and mind our own business, according to scripture. Working the works that GOD has set before us, we leave no place for meddling or error. We are completely submitted unto GOD and HIS perfect plan for our lives. My prayer for you today is that you get busy doing what GOD has predestined for you to do and completely forsake the things that are not. Pause and pray before you say so that GOD can be glorified even with your words. Pray this helps. Keep going. Go Forth. 🫶🏾🙏🏾✍🏾🙌🏾

Finding Joy In The Simple Things…

(Blog Post)

My mom bought me a phone today.

It is no secret that for years my interaction with digital devices has been quite disadvantageous. I’ve experienced everything from screen breaks, data losses, and other significant damages. The tiny fractures to the fiber glass never appear as negatively impactful as they really are. One tear can cause a light fixture to rupture and now your keys are all out of whack. I wondered for a season if I even needed a phone. I did a case study on myself. I survived! It seems my friends and family were more concerned about the accessory missing than I was. They said things like, “You need a phone, you have kids.” “What are we going to do if no one can get in touch with you?” So I caved in. I registered again for the technical handheld world developer and joined the crew. So, here I am. The funny thing is GOD and I are in agreement with the need for less screen time. What can I say? I genuinely enjoy the presence of GOD and beauty of life absent of technical involvement. Even though, I’m blessed to work well with technology. The real world is better. The actual infrastructure and combine of the world. Nature Geography, Physiological typology, so on and so forth. Sooooo generally, when phone repair is needed I count it a blessing. I can finally get a break from the media land and digital world.

Prior to my moms’ purchase and gifting of the device, I took a walk. I have a niece-dog now. She is pleasant. I usually walk alone and I know my path. It is one of the only ones I travel. But today, my niece-dog led the way. She was pulling and jerking and leading us places I’ve never been. We stumbled across a flowerbed and watched as four small all-white butterflies flew around it. We observed geese and other dog owners walking. I took the occasion to pray. There are many things that need prayer now and though the summers’ heat scolding discouraged my extended outdoors stay, I still allowed prayer to have its’ way. There was not much of a breeze but GOD breathed breathe into me so with the words of my heart I allowed my mouth to speak. Release. No technology deciphering how the moments should go. Just JESUS, my niece-dog, and I. With our other family members at-home resting, I walked. When I returned home, showered, and prepared to return to my studies, mom called. She said, “I’m minutes away from your home. I need you to take a ride with me.”

After cleaning and doing every other chore imaginable prior to my walk and following, a ride actually fit right into the schedule. I quickly prepared to go with her and to my surprise. Surprise. “I got you a new phone,” she said. It was pleasant. I’m an adult child. I am more excited about gifting my parents than receiving gifts. This gift however, was GOD-sent. My damaged device was prolonging my ability to produce things. However, because I found joy in the simple things and decided not to complain, GOD placed it on my mom’s heart to bless me.

Word of Encouragement: As you go into this day, may you FIND JOY IN THE SIMPLE THINGS. Seek GOD (Matthew 6:33) before you do anything. It is my prayer that as you do, HEAVEN releases every other thing that you need. Think on positive things, live HOLY, evade sin, and love purely. JESUS will handle the rest. The phone was neither a highlight nor is it a tool. For me, it’s a reminder that GOD sees all. And, the love of parents even as we grow, are just as bountiful of blessings than the heart may ever know. No one is the staple example, save JESUS. So learn to appreciate every person and call, and in times when life is hardest pray so you don’t stumble or fall. You’re needed. Just Believe It. Keep going forward in the midst of it all. Take some time to appreciate the simple things today. And maybe, idk, even take a WALK. Piece(Peace). 🫶🏾🙏🏾☝🏾🙌🏾

(Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.-Philippians 4:8) Song-HE IS-William McDowell

A War Over Access…

A war over access… Perhaps, it was never about you and always about the love that GOD has for you and the access that you have to HIM…
Carnality causes us to fight people when in all actuality the true battle should be fought against satan, he is the enemy behind those people he is using to launch those attacks…
Those who target you and especially gang up on you are being used by him due to jealousy of not being able to have “access” to GOD the way that you do…
Access is denied due to rebellion (which is the sin of witchcraft), sin, iniquity, disobedience, idolatry, adultery, fornication, drunkenness, homosexuality, perversion, so on and so forth… (Sidebar: The gift and calling is without repentance, so you can still use your gift even when you’ve lost access, it just won’t have no power, no anointing.) The thing about the anointing is that it can always identify itself… This is why Saul, who had no issue with David the psalmist, David the shepherd, or David the giant slayer developed an issue when he discovered David’s title had switched without even having the seat. He was David the King and Saul resented it because he was receiving what he used to have but didn’t value, so he lost it. Saul lost access.
Let me give you this WORD of encouragement on today: Your arrival has been announced and this is why the attack has been so great. Your message of hope is GOD is fighting with you, through you, and on your behalf. It does not matter what weapons are formed against you. Common sense would say just as wisdom is speaking to ‘Touch not, GOD’s anointed and do HIS prophet(s) no harm’ because just as King Saul was protected prior to being rejected that same protection was now on David and GOD ultimately dealt with Saul. This is not the season to fight in the flesh. It is the season to fight in the Spirit and let GOD be your vindicator. David never touched Saul and GOD protected David, why? Because he had been given access to accommodate his anointing. Make your requests known saints. #KeepGoing #GoForth #NoWeapon

A Message of Hope from JESUSgirlENT: Give Them JESUS!

John 1: 19-27

The life and ministry of John the Baptist is proof that if you keep your call JESUS-focused and JESUS-centered, GOD will protect it and sustain it…
*The Pharisees, firstly sought him out, he wasn’t looking to be seen. He was simply doing the work GOD sent him to do.
*They wanted to focus on him, his life, his identity, his motives, his purpose…
*They questioned his reason for doing what he was doing.
Yet, in all of this he evaded every opportunity to be or seem more important. He boasted not in his own accolades or accomplishments. He made himself of none-report and pointed them back to JESUS.
Message: In a time that transparency sells, and is needed as GOD leads, give them JESUS! I know they want to know your business, your background, your relationship status, so on and so forth, redirect and give them JESUS! John wasn’t hiding a life of sin because he wasn’t living a life of sin. What he was doing is avoiding any opportunity for his life to be a hindrance to his work. He put JESUS first and managed and sustained a GOD-approved ministry. Out of all of the temples, JESUS was first revealed in scripture at the announcement of the beginning of HIS ministry, by John the Baptist, the one who didn’t need the credit or attention. I pray that as you are focusing on JESUS you realize that JESUS is focused on you because there is great work for you to do. Let us not get so caught up in the hype of life and boast so much in self that we fail to present who truly matters… JESUS!!! (P.S. There’s protection there) #HappyTuesday 🫶🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾 Copyright: Shaniqua S. Robinson. May 27,2025🫶🏾🙏🏾🦋

New Growth… #ItsOfficially #Spring

I was so excited when I grew this flower from nothing to this point… (Disclaimer: Experienced and seasoned flower growth specialists, I’m new lol) I was excited until it did this 🥀 after growing and changing colors… 😪 I didn’t want to give up on it so I kept watering it, I tried to change its position and give it sunlight but it showed no improvement. Finally, I went to YouTube university lol. After studying the specific flower that I had, I realized it was not uncommon for this to happen especially when planting indoors, due to the temperature and climate. The only solution: Cut it off. I had to cut the part that withered away and water the parts that remained in order to see new growth. This experience caused me to ponder… How many things do we continue to try to water when the true solution is to just cut it off and let the new come in? This is my first flower that I purchased on my own and I’m already learning from my experience… Patience, Care, Love, Attention to detail… It’s Spring now and though there may be things, places, or even mindsets we try to water to redeem, sometimes the best solution is to cut them so they grow the way GOD intended them to grow… #NewGrowth #happysaturday🌸🙏🏾🙌🏾

The Crowd Chose Barrabas

The Crowd Chose Barrabas…
(Luke 23)

His name means ‘son of the father.’ He was a notable prisoner, rioter, murderer, guilty of every offense but ‘he’ was their choice. Pilate when given the option to release Barrabas pleaded with the people even the more to reconsider their request. They wanted JESUS CHRIST crucified. They rejected HIS plea and cried louder, ‘Crucify HIM, Crucify HIM.’

Matthew’s Gospel suggests the crowd was persuaded by the chief priests and Pharisees to respond the way they did towards JESUS. But, I just believe if you know someone well enough, and especially JESUS, there’s not enough persuasion in the world to convince you to want HIM killed. This is the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST. Accused of crimes HE didn’t commit and subjected to punishment HE didn’t deserve for the likes of us… Wherein, many, like later named Apostle Peter deny HIM whenever an opportunity to seem more popular and world accepting presents itself. Yet in still HE died, for us.

The choice of Barrabas represents the state and condition of the world today. Many don’t want JESUS. They don’t want morality, integrity, true Holiness, Righteousness, Deliverance, and to be set free. They want Barrabas. The turnup! YOLO, Be whatever you want to be. Do whatever you want to do. Do you Boo…

Don’t give us morals. Give us sin. We like the state we are in.

The cry from the people and blatant disregard for HIS innocence concerned Pilate. He, not even notably a man of GOD, knew by way of the short span of time he spent with HIM, that HE was not guilty of any of the allegations charged against HIM. I wonder how many people have even taken the time to study JESUS? Learn from HIM? And discover HIS ways before placing judgment, accepting the claims of others, or denying HIS name? If they did, I am quite sure it would be merely impossible to deny HIS goodness. They would understand why many of us love HIM like we do.

But still, they called for Barrabas. Representative of the sin they were in. “Give us the one, that won’t make us feel repented for our lewd ways and adulterous appetites.” “Give us the Gospel that doesn’t include living right.” “I’ll take your blessings. Yes, I want the house, money, clothes, and car. But, don’t give me JESUS.” I’m afraid that this is not just the heart posture of unbelievers then but many professed Believers today as well.

The question comes to mind. If they chose Barrabas then, what and who are we choosing now?

Not with words but with our lives.
Do our lifestyles reflect that we have chosen JESUS? Or has Barrabas taken president, by way of our decisions, in our livelihoods?

As we reflect on today, may we keep in mind not only the sacrifice of JESUS CHRIST and what it meant then but also the POWER of HIS decision to choose our lives over HIS.

Good Friday is more than a day of remembrance it is a day of decisions. Who will you choose? #teamJESUS #GoodFriday 🫶🏾☝🏾🙏🏾🔑🙌🏾
