We all remember that scene in “Cinderella” where her little team (a.k.a squad) rallied together to make her look oh so beautiful and perfect for her special night at the ball because her evil stepmother and stepsisters (whom had stolen her inheritance) refused to help her and stated she could only attend if she had a dress. Taking a little this and some of that she and a few mice pulled together a beautiful garment. We smiled on the inside when we knew she would soon be going to the ball. It was then that jealousy walked in and her stepsisters saw fit to destroy everything she had. The sorrow, the pain, the anguish she must’ve felt. Feelings of defeat as she cried and they laughed away. It’s the same feeling that many feel even to this day. Whenever you dare to be different. Whenever you refuse to stay down. Whenever you rise to the occasion there will always be those that prefer you stay as you were. They think “How dare she change?” “Who does she think she is?” “I remember when” and usually when this statement is used it is because they don’t want themselves, others, or you to forget it either! So you choose… Will I continue to fly below radar due to what they already think? Will I just give up on my pursuit of greatness because they can’t stand to see it? From the ashes to high standing you rose so do you just let that all go? The answer is “NO”. Don’t settle because it makes them more comfortable. Don’t stop growing because your growth is intimidating. Don’t give up on your GOD-given pursuit due to the snares and glares. What GOD has for you, it’s yours. And this time it doesn’t matter what they say. Nobody can take it away! #Shine 👑🙌❤️
