What GOD does in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones is never just solely for ourselves. In this text we see King Solomon continuing a work that was set in motion by his father, King David. Though David had the initial plan and vision for the work he was not able to complete it due to the blood shed in his lifetime. There are many things that we may begin that we may not be able to complete because it’s meant for the next generation to carry it on. Even when you think about the movie ‘Roots’. Every generation took it to another level. Though Kunta Kinte was never made free in his lifetime, he birthed Kizzy who learned to read and write and though she was sold into slavery she would birth a son named Chicken George that would use his gifting to find favor with his slave masters and eventually buy his freedom leading to him returning after being sold, to free all of his household. What you are building will be the thing that frees everyone attached to you. Though David was flawed he set his family on a whole nother level they would’ve never seen had he not obeyed and followed the plan GOD had for his life. The love and reverence King David had for GOD is what caused him to be favored by GOD the way that he was. King Solomon would have to live according to the same statutes in order to ensure the kingdom be established. One of the hardest things with being a trailblazer is the straight path required for the work. While others are enjoying lives of sin and even indulging in spending money without budgeting or even considering budgeting we are required to morally live and give account for every penny. Tedious work but worth it when considering the trail we are blazing will greatly benefit all that follow us. Keep going because the next generation is in need of your sacrifice and your pour. In addition to living for GOD and establishing the work that he has set before us we must also consider what could happen if we so decided to say ‘NO’. This segment is for single mothers particularly but could also benefit everyone. There was a law passed during slavery times entitled ‘partus sequitur ventrem’ translated this means ‘offspring follows belly’. There were so many enslaved women being impregnated by their slave owners that they changed the law so that the child would not take the status of ‘free’ following the father but if the mother be bound so bound be the child. This is why even as a single mother it is essential to fight for your freedom. Though hard, burdensome, and painful keep building, keep establishing, keep praying, because what you’re doing in fighting for financial freedom, establishing your business, obtaining your degree, sets your child up to live on the next level of life. Though I would have much more preferred to speak these words they are just as powerful being written. What GOD is doing in you, through you, and for you is generational and though trail blazing is never easy it is worth it to see who all will benefit from the work you establish.
